Some of the teachers enjoy having a "sharing day" at school. This is a time for your child to bring to school, for discussion, items that are of interest to him/her. This provides an opportunity for the students to "teach" his/her class. We suggest that you encourage your child to bring, on sharing day some of the following: books (no comic books, please), objects from nature, pictures of animals, photographs, news articles of a non-violent nature, etc. Please do not bring action figures, Barbie Dolls, etc. Please check with your child's teacher concerning "sharing day." Please do not send toys to school. The only exception is a stuffed animal or doll that your child sleeps with at naptime.
